It Started With a Vacation... with My People
The idea for Eliaki didn't hit me in a boardroom. It came quietly - during a beach trip with close friends and family. We were unwinding under palm trees, laughing over sand-in-our-slippers moments, and doing what everyone does on vacation - clicking pictures.
That's when I noticed something odd. The women around me - confident, stylish, radiant - were constantly adjusting their outfits. Some found the fabric too clingy in the heat, others felt their outfits didn't fit right, and some just didn't feel good in what they wore.
And that stuck with me. Why should dressing for joy feel like a compromise?
Why was resort wear either too synthetic, too skin-baring, not made for all body types, or simply too expensive to feel effortless?
The Idea of Eliaki Was Born
I started sketching ideas. Loose silhouettes that flattered, fabrics that flowed, and colors that felt like home. I wanted Eliaki to be everything most 'vacation wear' wasn't:
- Size-inclusive (because beauty doesn't come in one shape)
- Sustainably made (because fashion shouldn't harm the planet)
- Designed for Indian summers (hello, breathable fabrics!)
- Chic, simple, and soulful (just like the women we create for)
Why Eliaki?
Eliaki means 'The Little Sun' - a name that felt poetic and personal. It's a reminder to shine gently, live slowly, and take up space in your own unique way.
Every collection is inspired by places I love, women I admire, and the hope that our clothes can make someone feel seen, soft, and strong - all at once.
